Unlock your summer!
Why spend a short Wisconsin summer indoors? Your office could be on the river soaking up the sun when you join our team as a lock tender. You would be part of the living history of the Fox River Locks! We are seeking qualified individuals to work as lock tenders, grounds crew, and maintenance for the summer season. Flexible hours and you get to work on the only hand-operated, fully-restored lock system in the nation. Lock locations are from DePere to Appleton.
At left, Brothers Alex (left) & James Mueller (right) stopped in to visit their friendly lock tenders, who also happen to be their teachers at St. Francis Xavier Middle School. Bill Van Nuland and Brian McKinnon might have the best summer job–tending the Appleton locks–AND giving their students a look at “how they spent their summer vacation!” Photo courtesy of Wendy Mueller

Be part of the living history of the Fox Locks system when you work for us! Just as they did 150 years ago, lock tenders open the gates of the giant locks to allow navigation of the Fox River. Spend a summer with the only fully restored, hand-operated lock system in the nation!
We are an equal opportunity employer.
